Plain-language statements about what BillBahi is and isn't. They form part of our Terms of Service.

Not professional advice

BillBahi is bookkeeping software operated by [Legal entity name]. It is not a firm of Chartered Accountants, a tax practitioner, an auditor or a law firm, and does not provide tax, legal, accounting, audit or investment advice. Any explanation in the app of tax rules (for example about GST reverse charge or Section 40A(3)) is general information to prompt a conversation with your CA. It may not apply to your circumstances or reflect the latest law.

Automated audits are review aids

"Audit" in BillBahi means a set of automated checks over your records: duplicates, missing or mismatched bills, unclassified entries, GST details, cash payments, statement totals and similar. It is not a statutory audit under the Companies Act, 2013, a tax audit under Section 44AB of the Income-tax Act, 1961, or an assurance engagement. A good audit score does not mean your books or returns are correct or compliant.

Automated reading can be wrong

Amounts, dates, vendors, GST and GSTINs are read from emails and documents by software, including an AI model (Anthropic's Claude). Statements with unusual layouts, poor scans or foreign currencies are more likely to be misread. Suggested categories, "business or personal" guesses and bill matches are suggestions. Check them before relying on them. You remain responsible for your books and filings.

Not a bank, payment service or account aggregator

BillBahi does not connect to your bank or card accounts, move money, or hold funds. It is not regulated by the Reserve Bank of India and is not an Account Aggregator. It only processes emails and files that you choose to forward, upload or make available through a mailbox connection you authorise. Bank and card names mentioned on this site are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe compatibility; BillBahi is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Chartered Accountants on BillBahi

CAs who use BillBahi are independent professionals. [Legal entity name] does not employ, recommend, supervise or guarantee them, is not affiliated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), and does not verify ICAI membership numbers entered by users. Your engagement with your CA, including fees and advice, is between you and them. You control their access to your ledger and can remove it at any time.

Email and mailbox access

With your consent, BillBahi reads emails you forward to your private address and, if you connect Gmail or Outlook, messages matching your filter, read-only. Google user data is handled in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. BillBahi never sends, deletes or moves messages in your mailbox. Data location

Your data is stored with our hosting provider and processed by service providers (email, SMS, AI) that may be located outside India, including in the United States. See the Privacy Policy for the list.

Early access

BillBahi is in early access. Features may change and occasional errors are possible. Keep your original bills and statements, and download backups from Settings.
